Mac Upgrades
How It Works
Upgrades are a great way to prolong the life of your mac while adding to the speed, performance, and storage capacity. Many of Apple's customers believe that once their computer starts slowing down or runs out of space that they are in need of buying another one.
However, most computers have more potential than Apple would lead your to believe. In most cases, an older computer has just as much potential as a new computer and upgrades can cost far less than buying new. Rather than contributing to the world's growing E-waste problem, think green and consider upgrading instead.
Each computer and each case is different. We believe that customers should know all their options so that they can make an informed decision.
To find out what upgrades are available for your computer contact us via the CONTACT page on the website and please include your serial number. This will give our representatives the information required to determine what upgrades are available for your device.

An accurate serial number is required so that WE may lookup the necessary information for upgrading your devices.
Types Of Upgrades
Memory (RAM)
As of 2013 laptop RAM is soldered into the logic board making it non-upgradable without a logic board replacement.
However, iMacs and desktops are still upgradable. RAM Upgrades the amount of applications, windows, and tabs that you can have open at one time. Also allows for the running of more powerful and up to date applications for photo, video, and audio editing and production.

Solid-State Drive (SSD)
As of 2016 the storage is soldered into the logic board making it non-upgradable without a logic board replacement.
However, iMacs and desktop are still upgradable. The standard hard drives installed on most models are mechanical with moving parts. These drives are prone to failure.
A Solid State Drive (SSD) is all chip based and has no moving parts. These drives are up to 5X faster than standard drives and much more reliable.

Battery Replacement
As of 2013 batteries on Apple laptops are no longer user- replaceable. However, batteries can still be replaced by Apple Repair Professionals.
Aside from not being able to be away from your wall-tethered charger, a dead battery can slow a computer down. In addition, abrupt shut downs caused by battery failure can put your data at risk of corruption. Replacing the battery restores the original battery life back to your laptop and adds to its overall reliability and resale value.
